There are some height and weight restrictions for different activities (you can find more information on the Amp Up Action Park website) and closed-toe shoes are required to ride the go karts and on the ropes course. Helmets, harnesses and other safety gear is all provided, but you’ll definitely want to dress in something comfortable to move around in!

If Amp Up Adventure Park stoked your high-flying wanderlust and need for speed, you'll want to check out the following St. Louis adventures:

  • The Gateway Arch. Did you know you can take a tram to the top of the Gateway Arch? Since its completion in 1965, the monument has taken millions of visitors on the trip to the top to enjoy stunning views stretching up to 30 miles to the east and west. Please note: The Tram Ride to the Top of the Gateway Arch is not fully accessible for guests with mobility impairments, as no wheelchairs, scooters or strollers are permitted on the Observation Deck. To reach the top and return, you must be able to manage at least 96 steps, divided into six flights, and you may need to stand for 30­–60 minutes. No seating or restrooms are located at the top of the Arch, either, so plan accordingly!
  • The Zoo! Our spectacular zoo *and* many museums offer free admission, allowing you to experience the best of the city on a budget.
  • Upper Limits Rock Climbing Gym. Do you like to climb? Test your ability with an indoor rock wall climb. Upper Limits of St. Louis offers a variety of climbs — from beginner to experienced.
  • Go on a river float! Floating down a river can be a relaxing day or an incredible adventure here, depending on which river you choose. Popular rivers near St. Louis for floating are the Huzzah, Current, and the Meramec.
  • Venture underground.There are many caves near St. Louis for a cave tour. Cameron Cave of the Mark Twain Cave attractions is a further drive, but offers a cave tour within an undeveloped cave system. With tight passages, no electricity, and only lanterns to guide you, this is the tour for the adventurous spirit who isn't claustrophobic.
